What is Geothermal Energy?
Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source, meaning that it is a source of energy that does not come to an end, unlike nonrenewable resources. However, geothermal energy will come to an end;the geothermal source will be gone when the Earth runs out of it. Nonetheless, geothermal energy is still here, and the Earth still has a plentiful amount of it. The geothermal energy is derived from generated and stored thermal energy. Superheated water underneath the crust of the Earth, called a geothermal reservoir(for more in-depth information about a geothermal reservoir, click the second tab on this website.), is the source for this thermal energy, which is then turned into geothermal energy by geothermal plants so it can be used by people!
